Sign up for your subscription

So you’ve just created your account on NodeBeagle - what next? This article talks you through creating and activating your subscription.

Introduction

NodeBeagle is a subscription-based, software-as-a-service application delivered using cloud technology. You need to maintain an active subscription in order to use the application.

New users get a free, 14-day trial, so you can try out the service for 2 weeks before you are billed for it. If you don’t like it, just cancel your subscription before your trial ends.

When you first login to your new NodeBeagle account, you will see a message that you don't have any devices yet - and a button to register your first one:

Click the Register your first device button. You will then see the Billing Centre which provides pricing and an option to start a free trial - if you haven't had one already.

Start a free trial

Click the Start a free trial button. You will then see the subscription registration form where you can choose whether you would like to use Hourly or Monthly billing (or both.)  If you choose Monthly billing, you will tell NodeBeagle how many monthly-billed devices you'd like to include on your subscription.

To read more about the differences between Hourly and Monthly billing, see the How the billing process works article.

If you would like to use Hourly billed devices, tick the I'd like to use hourly-billed devices option.

If you would like to use Monthly billed devices, tick the I'd like to use monthly-billed devices option and select the number of devices (either Standard or Pro) you'd like to include on your subscription.

The Pro plan offers additional features, quicker collection and longer retention than the Standard plan. Find out more about the differences in our Which plan to choose: Standard or Pro? article.

The summary on the right-hand side of the form (or below the form if you're on a mobile device) will show you how much you will pay for your subscription when the free trial ends.

Provide your card details

When you have selected your options, click the Continue button in the summary panel. You will be prompted for your payment card details.

The credit card fields on this form (card number, expiry date and CVV/CV2 code) are hosted on Stripe's servers. Waggybytes do not see your full card details, only a tokenised representation of your card.

Enter your payment card details and click the Continue button. Your subscription will show as pending for a few minutes while Stripe process your card details. The page will automatically update when the subscription has been created.
